Fire Board:
keep or replace?
Public trust requires public accountability.
Public confidence depends on a Fire Board that governs independently, responds to complaints, and holds its contract employees accountable—specifically Fire Chief Jeff Lee and District Attorney Kim Sabol. This canvassing poll asks whether concerns about a lack of effective governance and accountability have affected your confidence in each Board member.

A vote of no confidence is a formal expression that those voting no longer trust a leader’s judgment, performance, or ability to lead. In an employee-union vote, it communicates the participating members’ loss of confidence; it does not automatically terminate a contract or remove anyone from office. It is a serious call for the governing board to examine the concerns, explain its decisions publicly, and take appropriate action.
Fort Pierce Watch’s position: The Board should address the loss of confidence directly, provide independent oversight, and explain how it will hold Lee and Sabol accountable. Residents deserve a clear public response.
Your assessment · Seven Board members
Who should remain on the Fire Board?
Considering the Fire Board’s governance and its oversight of contract employees, particularly Jeff Lee and Kim Sabol, should each member remain on the Fire Board or be replaced on the Fire Board?
Choose one answer per member. “Replace” expresses support for a change in that person’s Fire Board seat. It does not cast a vote in an election or remove the member from any office.
